Africa Day 2024

Africa Day, also known as African Liberation Day, is an annual commemoration of the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) on May 25, 1963.

The OAU was established with the aim of promoting unity and solidarity among African nations, as well as to advocate for the decolonization of African countries and support the liberation struggles against colonialism and apartheid.

Africa Day celebrates African unity, diversity, and the continent's achievements, while also highlighting the ongoing challenges and opportunities facing the continent. It serves as a reminder of the importance of African unity and the pursuit of peace, development, and prosperity across the continent.
